Please help! My Phal. Has Lost All The Leaves

I have a Phal. that was a gift this past Valentines Day so it does mean alot to me. It bloomed throughout the Spring and then the stem that the blooms were on started to turn brown so I cut it @ the base like I was told to do. So the only thing remaining was just the 3 leaves. Then the leaf underneath fell off over a period of time, and just yesterday the last 2 fell off. Now my plant has no leaves and no stem. I don't know what to do as this is my 1st plant ever. I am new to this and I am hoping that my plant isn't dead. Any suggestions??
